ABOUT US

L-Dawg and Roar live in Vancouver, BC, and have built a tiny house on wheels. They live in it full-time and are loving the good life! To them, the good life is living how they want, being able to afford what they want and putting their energy into what's most important to them. While shrinking their environmental footprint, they are learning practical building skills, mindfulness and the art of communication with your partner.

Roar, aka Rory, is a social worker in community development, skilled concrete finisher and all-round nice guy! He loves surf kayaking, fishing, vegetable gardening, and has always dreamed of living in a one-room house.

L-Dawg, aka Laura, works in sustainability consulting. Dubbed a tree-hugger by her family (she doesn't deny it), she loves to hike, cycle, read and paint. She's always dreamed of designing and building a sustainable home.

They created this site so friends and family could keep up with their progress and so there could be a central sharing point for all the things they're learning along the way. Thanks for joining them on their adventure, hope this site helps you build, think about how you live and what's important to you, or just helps you satisfy your tiny house fetish.

Disclaimer: this site is intended to share information about L-Dawg and Roar's experience, NOT to give formal building instruction.
